Convention in San Jose draws many activists |

Over the past weekend, DFA members participated in the State Democratic Convention. Some of our members who attended as Delegates include Pat and Leon Kunstenaar, Evelyn Woo, Ina Tabibian, Dolly Verrue, Jay and Mayme Hubert and Mary Renaud. Other members participated in various caucuses, demonstrations, and events. |

Many critics of spraying to kill this moth say the risks to crops are exaggerated and the threat to humans is underrated. Dr.Larry Rose, former Senior Medical Director for the CA/OSHA Medical unit for 28 years is concerned about the rush to spray.
His assessment,"It would be prudent and scientifically correct for a well informed township, or county to develop resolutions to oppose the exposure of their residents to these toxic chemicals when there are non-toxic alternatives for control of this insect. Pesticides have never eradicated any variety of insect, and resistance always develops...."

DFA-Marin Endorses Mark Leno for State Senate |

|
|
Democracy For America-Marin is very pleased that all candidates engaged in our endorsement process. Their thoughtful responses to our questionnaire were posted online where they will remain for public access until the Primary in June. This allowed all of our members to learn about each candidate and their positions before the endorsement vote was taken.
That vote garnered over 90% of the vote for Assemblyman Mark Leno, who therefore receives the endorsement of DFA-Marin.
